> Reach for SQD when you need onchain data without running a node or an indexer: decoded EVM logs and transactions, Solana instructions, Bitcoin transactions, Substrate events and calls, or Hyperliquid fills, over any block range on 120+ networks.

# Blast and Abstract dataset retirements

> The Blast and Abstract datasets retire on October 20, 2026, as both chains shut down.

On **October 20, 2026**, we're retiring the Blast and Abstract datasets. Both chains are shutting down. No other datasets are affected.

* Blast announced its shutdown [on X](https://x.com/blast/status/2106032805280891073).
* Abstract announced its shutdown [on X](https://x.com/abstractchain/status/2107554632675340420).

## Affected datasets

* `blast-l2-mainnet`
* `abstract-mainnet`
* `abstract-testnet`

## What happens on October 20

* Ingestion stops.
* Access ends on Portal and v2 gateways, wherever the dataset is served today.

There is no replacement dataset. Any squid or pipe still pointing at one of these datasets stops receiving data on October 20.

## What to do

Each entry above is the dataset name you'd see at the end of a Portal URL or in your Pipes config. Remove these datasets from anything you run before October 20.
