The other pages in this section describe how a client consumes data from a
Portal endpoint. Portal is also open source and can run with data sources and
infrastructure that you operate.
Self-hosting does not change the basic request structure. It changes which
datasets and operations are available, where recent data comes from, and which
services you must operate.
The Portal source and upstream self-hosting reference are available in the
sqd-portal repository.
